LASALLE, Quebec (CitizenWire) — 4RoadService.com Inc., the online road service directory, helping the trucking and RV communities since 2004, has rolled out a new smartly designed iPhone app, made specifically with truck drivers and Rv’ers in mind, to help locate the nearest service providers on the road. After several months of beta testing the app is now being introduced to the public beginning November 2010.
Utilizing the database of 4RoadService.com this app has access to more than 25,000 service locations throughout the United States and Canada. Service providers are added and updated daily, so live access with the app ensures the latest providers are included in every search a user performs.
The road service App allows users to select from six categories, towing, road service, truck repair, tire repair, truck stops and truck scales. Once a category is selected, with just a few clicks, users are able to locate the nearest service providers from their location, by selecting the nearest known city, nearest zip code or entering GPS co-ordinates.
This app is a complementary addition to the search tools already provided by 4RoadService, which includes the original 4RoadService.com Web site as well as the mobile site 4rs.mobi for use with all other mobile devices with an Internet connection.
The benefit of having this iPhone App is that unlike other apps, this one connects live to the 4RoadService database, and always provides results using the latest service provider information.
The app can be downloaded free of charge from Apple’s app store using your iPhone or by visiting the 4RoadService Web site.
4RoadService.com Inc. has been operating a free, online road service directory since 2004 and now offers a mobile Web site and iPhone app to help truckers and recreational vehicle users on the road.
