Second annual Diamond Awards will honor professional multicultural women in the Chicagoland area on Nov. 13

(CitizenWire) — Windy City Woman of Color, NFP an exclusive network for professional multicultural women in the Chicagoland area will be hosting its 2nd Annual Diamond Awards, which pays tribute to women of color who have made a positive impact on the community through their corporate and philanthropic efforts. The women honored on this evening represent all cultures and ethnicities and vary in their fields from executive directors of Colleges and Universities to Cook County State’s Attorney.

The theme of the event is “Helping with a Handbag,” and it is sponsored by Neiman Marcus, CNA Insurance and Hotel Sax. The event will benefit the women of Deborah’s Place, a transitional home for women who have moved from homelessness and are aspiring to re-enter into society as productive citizens through work and education.
